The long (Easter) weekend was spent traversing the longest wine route in the world. An obscene amount of wine was bought and consumed, and a generally relaxing time was had by all. The highlights of the trip included a tractor ride to the top of a mountain (the lazy alternative to hiking) and a boat-cruise-cum-picnic on the Breede River. The rest of the time was pleasantly occupied by sleeping, eating and checking out wine farms. Things to take away from the weekend include increased ability to stand my own against blatant racial prejudice, increased random Afrikaans knowledge, increased capacity to fall asleep at any given hour and an increased tolerance for, um, beverages.
Pics (will be) here.
